Huffington Post Shines A Light On Men’s Rights

“The father’s rights movement isn’t an anti-mom or anti-woman movement; it’s an anti-unfairness movement. It just so happens that moms have most of the power in the family court system in America.”

That quote kicked off one of the few men’s rights articles The Huffington Post has published on its website. Written by MensRights.com sponsor and Cordell & Cordell co-founder Joseph Cordell, the article outlines for millions of readers how the biased family law system systematically presents men and fathers with an uphill, unfair battle.

Cordell specifically writes about the huge amount of latitude given to family law judges in order for them to make their decisions; leeway that invites biases into their rulings.

“One purpose of the law is to protect us from those leanings of individual judges, but once you give a judge such a wide range of discretion and decision-making then it invites that sort of bias,” Cordell writes. “Historically, it has not worked in the favor of guys.”
